Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, sent his greetings to the Ukrainian miners on the occasion of their occupational holiday.
"In difficult conditions, you extract coal that is of crucial importance for the energy safety of the country, and secures regular work of metallurgical complex", - reads the greeting.
"I know the hard work of a miner from my own experience. Thus, last year I descended the longwall and spent an hour under the ground. I regard the today´s holiday as celebration in honour of daily deed of the miners. This is also a memorial day of those who did not return from the coal-face, and are bemoaned by their mothers, wives and children", - reads the address of the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.
He stated that coal industry was of vital importance for the energy independence of our State. Arseniy Yatseniuk sincerely wished sound health, happiness, success and welfare to the miners and their families.
The Head of Ukrainian Parliament forwarded relevant telegrams to the leaders and personnel of all coal-producing enterprises of Ukraine. On 31 August, in the course of his working visit to Lviv region, the Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will personally congratulate the miners on their occupational holiday in Chervonohrad.
